Dogs Nite Out

Front Desk

Laurie and Jen assist a customer and his cat.

Dental Room

We have a separate dental room to keep things clean.

The round object is a huge magnifying glass. Further back on the left is the Jorgensen Laboratories Anesthesia Machine and on the right is the Baxter IV Pump.

Not visible is the anesthesia monitor and the dental tools.

EKG Monitor

Here the veterinarian is monitoring the heart rate and breaths per minute.

Laboratory Services

Kevin checks a fecal sample for worms which can harm both pets and people.

Surgical Preparation

Here Colty shaves a cat for surgery. He likes his job but is laughing because Mat was kidding him that we were going to put his picture on facebook.

Cat Spay

Colty writes a note while Dr. Jim does surgery.

Katie prepares a sample in the laboratory.

Cat Room

This is the cat room.

We have more pictures coming

Many of our pictures would not work when formatted for the web.

Operating Room 2

On the left is the Jorgensen Laboratories Anesthesia Machine with Sevoflurane Anesthesia, the white domes are surgery lights and on the right is a Cardell Max-12 Multiparameter Surgical Monitor.

The stainless steel surgical table is in front.

Idexx Analyzers

We use Idexx Analyzers. The unit on the left is for complete blood counts. The unit on the right is for blood chemistry. Veterinarians use each unit, or both together, to check for problems before surgery, to diagnose problems or as part of an examination.

Kennel Area

This is a Siberian Husky from a local humane society waiting his turn for surgery.

Laboratory Report

This is a sample report for a pet with several abnormal findings.

Basic Obedience Training

This is an individual class centered on you and your dog so we focus on your needs. We start by teaching basic skills such sit, stay, come, down, no-bite, off, heel, door manners, and leave it. We guide you to effectively use treats, positive reinforcement and timing to train your dog. We also introduce distractions so your dog will be able to handle the real world. This is a hands-on class to work with you and your dog. Our instructors are highly skilled trainers who can help you with any issues you are having with your dog.

Classes are $150. Call 440-954-1730 or email for more information or to make an appointment.

AKC Canine Good Citizen

The purpose of the canine good citizen program is to ensure that our favorite companion, the dog, can be a respected member of the community because it has been trained to be well behaved in the home, in public places, and in the presence of other dogs. The canine good citizen program welcomes both purebred and mixed breed dogs. The canine good citizen test is noncompetitive and dogs are not required to perform with the same precision required in formal obedience. Dogs that pass all 10 items of the canine good citizen test, including purebred and mixed breeds, are listed in the canine good citizen records at the American Kennel Club. Owners of dogs that pass all 10 items of the canine good citizen test may order an official canine good citizen certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Training and testing is done by a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Prospective students must have successfully completed the Basic Obedience here or at another school.

Call for more information or stop in for an AKC Canine Good Citizen pamphlet.

Classes are $60. Call 440-934-5353 or email for more information or to make an appointment.
